Frequently Asked Questions
The questions every business owner asks before hiring a review removal service.
How much does Google review removal cost?
Prices range from $499 to $1,500 per review. SeerLocal charges $499 per review and you pay only after the review is permanently removed. ReviewArmour charges $550, Removify charges $950 with a $500 deposit upfront, and Erase quoted $1,500.
How long does it take to remove a fake Google review?
SeerLocal typically removes fake reviews in 3 to 4 business days, often within 24 hours for straightforward cases. Complex appeals can take up to 4 weeks.
Does the age of the review matter?
Yes. Reviews under 30 days old are far easier to remove. Reviews over about 30 days old are much harder, and sometimes cannot be removed at all. If your fake review is fresh, act right away.
Do I have to share my Google password?
No. A legitimate removal service never asks for your Google account password. They work through standard Manager access to your Google Business Profile, which you grant in your own Google settings and can revoke at any time.
What happens if Google refuses to remove the review?
With a pay-on-success service like SeerLocal, you pay nothing if the review cannot be removed. Google makes the final decision, so no honest company can guarantee removal. Any company that guarantees removal is overselling.
Can I remove a fake review myself for free?
You can report a review to Google for free, but DIY reporting almost never succeeds. Google rejects most owner filed reports, and there is no appeal path an owner can easily follow alone.
Which reviews qualify for removal?
Reviews that break Google policy qualify: fake reviews from people who were never customers, reviews with conflicts of interest, spam, profanity, or personal attacks. A real review from a real customer, even a harsh one, generally cannot be removed.
